About Us
Man-Upp Cigars was created in November 2008 out of memory of my Dad who loved cigars.
He began smoking cigars beginning in his late teens and truly had a love for a good cigar. When he died very suddenly in 1991, I had never had the opportunity to share a cigar with him. I do regret that we never sat down under the shade tree of our family home in Alabama, like he would use to do with his friends and family members, and enjoy a good cigar together.
I have many memories of waking up in the mornings as a kid and the smells of our home drifting throughout the house. They were the distinct smells of coffee brewing, bacon cooking in a skillet and my Dad's cigar smoke. I would always walk into the kitchen and see him sitting at the table drinking his coffee and smoking his morning cigar. Those memories of him I do cherish because he was doing something he loved!
Man-UppCigars is dedicated to him.
My Dad taught me several things while he was alive. Most importantly he believed you should be respectful of others no matter how different they are from you, be humble, be a true friend, don't talk about other people when you can't say anything good and be a man when it comes to life...sometimes having to Man Up when things got tough! The extra P was added to the company name to emphasize Man-Upp!.
We are committed to making Man-UppCigars a place for fellow cigar smokers to find quality cigars at reasonable pricing and through our own Social Groups we hope to help men connect with others that have that same love and passion for a good CIGAR!
